i was wondering if i could get some car help?

hi, recently i had my car stolen and since i've had it recovered, i've ran into somr problems.

at first the car was turning over but would promptly shut down afterward. after some research i found out that this is because the car had been tampered with. the car (98 chevy cavalier) has a anti theft device called a pass-lock that cuts off the fuel pump thus rendering the car useless.

having said that. please inform me if any of this info is wrong.

so as i said the was car turning over, starting for a few moments, then shutting down automatically. i knew that whomever stole it obviously had a way to bypass this device. so i decided to take the lines off of the spark plugs just in case the thief decided to come back for another joy ride.

a few weeks later i went out to start the car and do some work on it. the problem now is that the car wont start or even turn over. it wont even make that clicking sound that you get when your battery is dead. absolutely nothing happens when i turn the ignition now. what could be causing this?

i double, and triple checked to make sure all the lines from the distributor cap to the spark plugs were all hooked up to the right spot and securely in place too. i also tried to boost the car. nothing seems to work.

does anyone have the expertise to help me with this issue?
can i get suggestions on what it might be or what things might prevent the engine from turning over. I'm quite the do it yourself-er however i'm not too privy with automobiles. but even knowing where to start or things to check out will help me out a lot.

but if there's someone out there that can tell me why my car isn't turning over... and how to bypass this pass-lock, they would be my hero. and i know there's gotta be a way. cause who ever stole my car figured it out.

thanks so much to anyone who can help me. this whole episode has been pretty devastating and has set me back quite a bit. but if i could get that car running again, i would be so grateful.
