I was wondering if anyone could give me the following information about maximum

jail sentences.? I am curious about the maximum time for assault (I heard 18 months). Also assault with a weapon/aggravated assault. And also forceible confinement. These charges are all at one time? Does anybody roughly know how long someone whould serve for these charges, There was many others but they were dropped when he plea bargained. Also when in jail before court date is it still considered dead time, therefore the days are considered 2 for 1.
 
You only go to jail, if you are found guilty of the charges. The main reason the court may accept a plea bargain is because they don't want to take your case to a trial. The court wants to dispose of the case fast. The Judge will announce the sentence at the end.
