I was thinking about growing sea monkeys (brine shrimp) in my fish tanks so I dont have

to buy the food? I have a community fish tank and a piranha in another tank i was wondering if i just added sea monkeys packets to their tank will they grow in the tanks and be eaten?
 
What I would do:
1) Buy a 5 gallon tank
2)Pour the eggs
3) wait till they hatch
4) Once they're big enough you may put the ammount of what your fish can eat and add it to your piranha's tank.
