I was test driving a 1994 Jeep cherkee....?

and everytime I would take off and give it gas i noticed the oil pressure went from 20 to 80 as soon as i let off the gas it goes down back down to 20. Is this normall or should I not buy it.

Its a V6 4 O
 
It is normal any car you drive that has an oil pressure gage will do the same thing. It's like bringing water to a boil and then turning the temp down, you know the water is hot when it boils, so is it still hot when you turn the temp down. This is the same as increasing your speed you will increse your oil pressure.
 
It's normal for the oil pressure to go up. As the engine revs up, it's spinning the oil pump faster, so you're getting more oil pressure. 20 PSI oil pressure sounds low, but then it IS a 15 year old vehicle.
