Yea, FreeCreditReport is bull crap! There isn't really anything "free" on there unless you sign up for their paid service. Also, they sell your info. I'll bet that redirect was capturing your email and ISP info in order to sell it to marketing companies. The fact that it didn't load probably means your spam blocker blocked it :)

If you want a TRUELY free credit report you have to go to annualcreditreport.com - it's the only one set up by the Feds and not some crappy company. You get one free report per reporting agency per year. They don't include your scores, although you can pay something like $10-15 to get your score too. I'm a banker and that's the ONLY site I tell my customers to use - it's the only one that I trust.

Good luck!

ax_atds.html. Is that weird? While getting my free annual credit report through Experian, I was redirected to https://adyoz.com/script/equifax_atds.html. The page was blank. Is this normal? I'm concerned because the redirection happened from the page where my credit report was supposed to show up. I clicked the back button and it went back to my credit report.

I don't remember clicking anything on the credit report page, like an advertisement or anything.

Has anyone experienced this before? Does anyone know what adyoz.com has to do with Experian? Would you be freaked out? :)

Thanks,
Mike
Thanks for the WOT link.

This is a real bummer. I was on the government sponsored site, but somehow I ended up at the freecreditreport.com site. Do they work with Experian? I was going to pay see my score their, and I guess maybe the link I clicked was for freecreditreport.com and not Experian.

Ugg, these companies are so shady and they own us.
Answered my own question. Did you guys know that FreeCreditReport.com is Experian? Check out this cancellation email.

"We’re sorry to see you go! But we would like to thank you for choosing Experian® as your credit monitoring provider.

This e-mail confirms that we have received your request to cancel Triple Advantage(SM) Credit Monitoring. We are currently processing your request, and this change will take effect on 5/13/2009.
