Ranger (gas engine) -- OK to use? The Ranger has no problem, but it supposedly is better for engine wear, and also to prevent engine lockup in the event that I ever run the truck without oil. I have heard that this oil (15w40) is too thick for the truck or any non-commercial vehicle. Can you confirm? Also, will one additional oil change with regular API SM 10w30 do the trick to get rid of most of the CJ-4?
