it basically folllowed the story of a young man who worked at a homeless shelter in N.Y. i think? and his father was an alcoholic bum who would turn up at the shelter every now and then but didnt know that the man was his son. im pretty unsure of the details as it was a long time ago when i read it, but that is how i remember it anyway. cheers for your help!
