I was planning on buying a new bike in spring 2009, but is it better to buy now?

Its the economy
will I still have a job next spring?
will the price of new bikes increase or decrease under a bad economy
will dealers be more desperate to sell bikes now or by next spring?
The new bikes I am looking at:
Yamaha FJR1300
Honda ST1300
Honda Interceptor
Suzuki V Strom 1000

( in that order )
#1 have the money, no loan needed
#2 have no wife, she left me for a younger man
#3 need a bigger bike for long distance touring, and friends I ride with own Gold Wings
( I own a Yamaha FZ6 now )
Rejath Shetty, NO! any Harley Davidson is out! I want a lightweight, sport bike with extreme perfomance that is a comfortable long distance touring bike, big gas tank with excellent fuel mileage.
On test rides i took I love the Suzuki V Strom the best and in perfomance I love the Yamaha FJR1300, but I love the Honda ST1300 and the Interceptor cause how smooth and quiet they are., But both Honda's are much slower. its tough making up my mind.

I'd probably say wait.
Simply because the Credit Crunch, less motors will be sold. This means, next year the price of motors will go down, therefore you will be paying less for your bike next year.

It depends on your job. If you think you will still have one, just wait until next year to get your bike. If you dont think you will have a job next year, i wouldnt buy one at all - The fact you would need your money.

Wait until next year.

hello
the best thing is to do is to wait until 2009 as you would have more models to choose from. But if you are buying it for stunts then it would be wise to choose Honda Interceptor. For sport touring you can go for Honda ST1300.well go for Honda.Suzuki is also not so bad you can also choose 2008 Harley Davidson FLHTC Electra Glide Classic.or the even hotter Suzuki Hayabusa
