i was looking at a old ford ranger?

i was looking at an old ford ranger. It seems to be in good condition. its a 1996 and its got flaired out fenders, a skid plate, 33 inch tires, head lights, and king coilovers. i was wondering if the older a truck the more likly it is to break down or need more repairs. and i was also wondering if coilovers are good for off roading
