Okay, so I was looking for a car this weekend when I found a vehicle I liked online. I decided to visit the dealership and was interested in making a purchase. I knew from the moment I got there, they saw "sucker" written across my forehead so I kindly declined their first few offers and left. I came back with my wife this morning to give it another go, but they would not budge in the price (even though they were still charging me more than what the price was online). I left again and they then called me with another offer, an upgraded vehicle for the same price (and stated the one I wanted originally was sold - highly suspect). I stopped back in and realized the car was not close to the original I wanted, so I again declined and stated my specifications. They found me another car but it was outside of my price range so I again peaceably declined and said I would need to sleep on it. Suddenly, the manager accused ME of playing games so stunned, I stood up and started to walk away and he started telling me off as I left and said he didn't ever want to see me set foot at that dealership again... what do you think?
JOHN: Honestly, I was polite the entire time, even after they insulted my intelligence by stating the final car they showed me retailed for 19,990 (I went online when I came home, and saw the car listed on their inventory page for 16,000).
Zero: I definitely appreciate the advice. I do feel as though I should do something, but I did not know where to start.
