I was in class at a university and I am getting my Bachelors degree in social

work it was kinda a screw up? choice and the instructor asked me and all my classmates where do I see my future in social work what is my ideal future job in social work. Well its not my dream job is in law enforcement; however, I am so far in I have 4 months till graduation that I can't change or quit. So I stated undecided. I was talking to a friend in class after class, and I said that's a loaded question my future is in law enforcement not in social work. I am not a councilor and don't conduct weekly counseling sessions in law enforcement. I didn't know it at the time everyone all classmate was eaease droppingnd their eyes got really big. Out of the blue one of the classmates stated that's a bad attitude you have a bad attitude all you are going to be is a social worker with a gun tthat'sall law enforcement is. I laughed and stated I have a different personality than all of you. In reality every time Im in class all I hear about fellow classmates is how criminals didn't know what they were doing and social workers should try to help them that is why I am going into law enforcement. I was wondering why did she say this? Its really been bothering me? Is she mad because I am not going to use my degree for what I got it in? With all do respect its really none of her Business. Is all law enforcement people disrespected to by the public or are they respected? Why did she state this?
