So this lady hit me as i was turning. It wasnt a huge accident at all. she rear ended me and took off some paint and left a dent on the bumper. It is still in place. At the time i did not feel that i was injured. I felt good and went on with my day at work afterwards. After a couple of hours i felt a headache that steadily kept increasing in pain. When i got home from work my headache was pretty painful. I took Tylenol and took a shower. woke up today with my back sore and stiff. I thought itd be from work but ive been doing what i do for well over a year and a half now so i doubt it was work. And i've never felt pain like this. Its nothing to impede my ability to walk or work, but it is discomforting and makes it hard to sleep. Now i have contacted the other person's insurance company and my Insurance company. They are in the proccess of investigating. Every that i talk to about this says that i should seek a lawyer in assistance to recieve compensation for the accident. My question is, Do i automatically receive a compensation for this accident. also, Do i need a lawyer to recieve any compensation? This isnt one of those "Oooh OMG Lawsuit!! Yay!!" things, its just that everyone tells me that I am entitled to some sort of settlement. Please, somebody explain. Thank You! OOh btw, I went to the doctor earlier today due to the pain, i was prescribed muscle relaxers and pain medication for spasms.
