i was in a accident 2 years ago, i hit a person on a bike that go in my way and

didnt look back if i was...? coming, so id hit him, i have liability with my insurance it covers me and person that i hit, so my insurance didnt want to pay him, they tld him that they got a report from the police stating that he was at fault, so now he suid me on smal claims, insurance tld me that he wins no money would come out from my pocket and they will give me an attorney to tell me what to do and say. is that true?
it was a bycecle not a bike??
