camera flash, and no additional lighting? I was hired to do prom photos for a small school. Problem is, I have one week to prepare. I only have my on camera flash for lighting. Will this work? If not... where can I get some cheap lighting. I'm extrememly broke :/

I have a Canon Rebel Xs if this helps. PLEASE help me with ideas! Even some DIY would help as long as it's not very expensive.
 
i photographed parties for a while with a nikon d5000 basic lense and no other flash, but the one that came with the camara, and thats when i first was learning so it was all on auto, and i did fine !
but i reccommened you use programmed auto, and use a relatively high iso, but not too high, so you dont have too much noise. but high enough so that your flash does its work !
you should be fine.
