I was grooming my Maltese X Pomeranian pup today and I think she has dandruff?

I didn't wash her today but I cleaned her ears, tear stains, teeth, nails, and then I started to brush her.
As I was parting her hair down the middle of her spine I saw little white flakes through her hair, barely visible.
She's up to date on her flea treatment so it can't be that.
I'm thinking about giving her omega 3 and 6 supplements now, but what else could I do?
