We were given an older (4 years maybe?) Imac Desktop. it is the one that is clear with the big monitor for our kids to play their computer games on. It worked well for a while, but now, when I power it on, it has NOTHING except for a little picture of a disk with a blinking question mark in the middle. I can't click on anything, I can't get it to go away, ANY IDEAS?

Thanks in advance

the disc icon means the OS(operating system) folder cant be found.

Hopefully you got the restore disks when you got the computer.

If you did. Boot the computer, with the CD in the drive, and hold down the C key.

Once the computer has booted with the CD in it. Follow the instructions about RESTORING JUST THE OPERATING SYSTEM, and NOT a complete install.

Or you can go to either a Bestbuy, Circuit City CompUSA or Apple Store and have the techs there do it for a fee.
