I was given a summons for a daughter who has not lived here in 2 years, is this legal?

what if the officer says the summons was served and my daughter does not show up in court, should I go and let them know i have not had contact with her?
 
If the summons came from the Courts, contact them immediately, and tell them you don't know the whereabouts of your daughter. I am assuming she is over 21, right?? If you HAVE any idea WHERE she could be, also tell them what you DO know!!! They could put out a warrant for her arrest for contempt of Court if SHE gave THEM a phoney address!
