for legal advice? A few months ago, my bank(or maybe I should say my former bank) screwed me over and charged me for something that was not my fault. They overdrafted my account, which caused most of my payroll check to be taken(I had direct deposit at the time). Well, to condense a long story, I fell behind almost 2 months on my rent, since I did not have the money to pay it, causing my landlord to charge me $400 in late fees on top of the rent, and my boyfriend, who is not working at the moment, was also stuck in legal fees that he could not pay. So I took out 2 payday loans to help get us out of the rut we were in. I was doing fine paying the roll-over fees there for awhile--then I had trouble paying all my other bills, so I made the mistake of taking out a third loan.
Well now, all 3 checks have went to the bank and been returned due to insufficient funds, because I was just unable to keep up any longer. What should I do? I'm scared to death and need to know what to expect.
Unfortunately, my credit sucks, so taking out a personal loan is out of the question. So is getting a credit card big enough. I've already had one letter sent to me threatening to take me to court if I don't pay the money back. I can make $50 payments a month to these places, but that's about it. What should I do? Thanks to everyone for your help.
