I was charged with simple assault in pennsylvania?

....the other person didn't want to press charges but the police arrested me anyways. should i plead guilty?. they also did not give me the time to get a lawer i do not have the money to pay for 1 its a preliminary arraignment also im on probation for weed but iv never talked to my po or seen him
