My father and I were talking about our struggle with my mother: her abusive 'lessons' towards my brother and me, her name-calling, allowing her 2nd husband to do with us what he wanted, and forbidding out father to see us, but telling us that he didn't want us.
It was a horribly trecherous divorce, obviously. Though she won custody, she hardly deserved it and used us, as well as the law, to hurt our father; attempting to ruin him as punishment for not providing the lifestyle she deserved.
I would like to leave the details for the book, but though my father and I have gathered an astounding amount of written statements and information for filling the book, I have no idea what to do now.
I'm ready to begin typing out the basic outline of our story, but what's next besides actually writing it?
We don't have extra money to hire a publisher or editor, but I was wondering if there was a way to get our story heard, and maybe the publisher would be willing to invest into it.

That's what I'm basically asking. But is there a way to get it published without having to hire a publisher???
