...which program is best? free? i have been searching for weeks now for one of those "10,000 channels of live tv" programs that will work well -- but i dont want to pay for it!

i have tried joost, miro, hulu ... all online tv programs that work ok, but i really want to get real cable tv on my computer.

has anyone tried one of the 50$ - 90$ "cable television for the pc" programs? i would be willing to spend the money for an upfront fee, but i am afraid they will make a bunch of promises and leave me with a bunch of links to podcasts / short streaming video...

any luck on your end?

cable tv comes from, you guessed it, cable! how else do you expect to watch it? get yourself a tv tuner, hook up cable or satellite that you pay for, and bam! cable/satellite on your pc! most tv tuner cards have high def tuners in them along with a regular tuner, so you can watch free high def tv and/or cable/satellite for however much you pay. no one is going to capture the hundreds of channels of cable and stream them all around the world. bandwidth would crawl and it would cost several thousands for whoever is doing it. pretty safe to say not even possible as of now. well it is but no one would do it.
