I have a betta in a 5gal but I want to upgrade him into my 10gal that is being used by my mouse that is 2 and a half years of age. I'm afraid that my mouse isn't going to live much longer because she is showing signs of nearing death. 
But when she does pass away (I'll miss her so much), I want to put my betta in there and get a few other fish that'll get along with him. So, what can I use to clean the 10gal tank that won't harm my betta and any future fish?
Thanks for the info but I need something to clean the tank BEFORE I think about adding any fish. I can't use any kind of soap since it'll leave residue. lol
I'm getting a few glofish and a pleco for the tank.
