This is the scenario I posted earlier - a little long winded I know - also, I'm in my early 30s and I'm scared, I'm not going to meet anyone special :-(
Girl trouble at work?
I recently started a new job and on a temp contract for the xmas period. Surprise surprise, I've become quite fond of a girl that I work with, but she seems to be blowing hot and cold in her demeanour?
Maybe it's just the politeness thing that I've otherwise misread. We seem to get on really well and there's never been a cross word. She comes across quite/shy at first, but a little on the outgoing side and talkative the next. She's originally from another area of the company and helps out daily (for a short period of time) then returns.
I've got to know her background a bit, but I'm not 100% sure whether she's single or already spoken for.
We get on pretty good, we have mutual respect and always strive to help one another as well as have a laugh and I'm sure I could feel slight chemistry between us - maybe I'm wrong. The other day, this was happening, but yesterday, she was a little aloof and didn't really speak much.
This upset me, so rather than hang around, I was just concentrating on my own job and helping customers - she kept on watching me, then did the same as me afterwards. I was also stuck on something, and she straight away offered to help me.
She's quite a popular girl as she has a number of male colleagues added to her facebook account, but there's no indication whatsoever that she's with somebody (no photo evidence or info).
I accept rejection in principle, however it's upsetting as I do suffer from depression and this has been my first job in over a year. I'll most probably leave and there's no guarantee that I could be offered summat permanent.
Could do with some advice and thoughts really on this as I'm sure I'll see her again?????
Dreseth, thanks for the reply and and good one too. I tried to email you, but I can't actually find the 'send private message' option to do so?
