I want to take in a stray cat that's been camping out on my front step...some advice...

...please? This black cat showed up out of the blue a few days ago, walked right out of our garden and onto our front step meowing and rubbing all over us. She is VERY friendly. We thought that she belonged to the woman down the street since her cat is black as well but it was not hers. I'm trying to convince my father to let us take her in. The problem is that we have a dog and a cat already. This cat seems to already love our animals. She comes right up to them and sniffs them. My animals, however, bark and hiss at her. Of course, this is because they do not know her. My animals are very kind otherwise.

We have been feeding her and spending time with her outisde, but I just don't want her to have to stay out there any longer, especially since she cries at our door and wants to come in all day. I've never seen such a friendly stray before. We plan on putting flyers out and also taking her to the vet to see if she's chipped. Then if nobody claims her, I'm hoping we can keep her. We just have to break my dad down first.

Anything I need to know before bringing this animal into our house to stay with our other two animals? Any advice will be appreciated.
 
set a trap out with cat food and once you get her take her to the vet and be sure to get her shots and a regular check-up. she sounds like a sweet cat. good luck
