i want to start exercising but i don't know where to start?

i'm a 19 yr old female, weight around 240lbs,
i really think i am beautiful but i would like to lose all the extra weight so i can live a healthy life.
i'm cutting off on the sodas,candies,chips..etc. i'm drinking more water and im starting to feel much better.
i want to start exercising, walking, jogging, but i dont know what is the right way to do it.
what are good exercises for beginners? how long should i start walking/joggin, and how often?
help please :)
