I really want to have a vegetable garden, but unfortunately I have a huge backyard surrounded by pine trees so it 100% shaded and barely gets any sun. I cannot plant in the front yard because of community rules.
I don't have enough money to cut down all the trees (there are at least 30, and they are also in all my surrounding neighbors yards, so there's no getting away from the shade.)
The backyard gets maybe 2-3 hours of full sun on a sunny day.
Are there any vegetables that don't need sun? What herbs / vegetables, if any, can I grow?!? I am on the east coast. Thank you!
