1) Do you know of any licences that I need (except for liquor license)?
2) I have 25K-40K for the investment. Is it good enough.
Basically I have to renovate the place and get the alcohol, promotion is not a problem.

Any other input would be great.

You will have to check with your local town hall to see what Licences you will need,, you will have to have the building inspected and there will be codes you have to keep up with. Some places make you have like a food handlers permit,, and other things like that,,

As far as the money? Depends on how much renovation you need to make on the club,, and where you are opening it up at. If there are alot of clubs in the area then you will have to promote it pretty hot and heavy,, if there aren't many then the hype of a new club will work for you.

Also don't forget you will probally have to hire some ppl, don't count on your profits to pay them right off, and yes you will probally get alot of offers from family and friends to "help out" but be careful with that,, they aren't losing anything if it doesnt' go well,, but you will lose alot if things aren 't professional.
You will also need insurance.

Not sure of any of other licenses, except for a business license, but check with your county clerk office. Depending on how big your spot is, you may need more than that $40K as start up capital. Some expenses to consider: rent, employees (bouncers, cashier, coat check, DJ), cost of goods (liquor, juice, soda), equipment (for the bar, i.e. bar sinks, speed guns, etc.), basic supplies (i.e. glasses, napkins, etc.), insurance, renovation costs, security, cash on hand, running capital for at least 3 months, MARKETING (promotion), etc. etc. Some things to think about. Hope this is helpful to get you started.
