ok im 14 and my dream is to become a commissioned officer of the Army. if thats not possible (im not very smart, so i probably wont make it) then i will try to be a private. either way, i am hoping that i will spend the remainder of my life in the Army. is it possible? also i heard that if i become a commissioned officer and i eventually become a general, i have to quit at 63 years old?
oh
yeah i was planning to do ROTC

Focus on school, be active in sports and other school organizations, join an organization such as the Boy Scouts. If your school offers JROTC, give it a shot. Get into a good college, take ROTC as an elective, and see if you're interested.

I'm not trying to change your mind, just remember that people change as they get older.

As far as the "rest of your life" thing, I'd hold off on that and check it out before you tell anyone else that.

I enjoyed my time in the Army, but my body took one hell of a beating!

you need to try length before retirement goes by rank not a bad why to go since they brought back the 50 percent retirement half pay for the rest of your life
