I want to put 35 inch tires on my Jeep. What options do I have ?

I have a completely stock 2008 Rubicon Unlimited and my tires are wearing out . I want larger tires , but do I have to put a lift kit ? What is the most conservative kit and what is the most radical ?
Size 35 tires , not rims .
