My mom came home drunk and high on pain killers last night and started a huge ruckus. Eventually there was a physical fight and she beat the crap out of me.
I'm 16 years old.
I started arguing with her to defend my dad, whom she accused of cheating on her (and it's totally not true.) It has gone on for a couple months.
We found out that pressing charges on her would cost an upwards of $7000, and we can't afford that.
We told the police and they can't really do anything. (WTF?)
I wanted to press charges for various things and file a restraining order, but I don't know how much it costs or any technicalities with it.
Is there anything I can do?
