I WANT TO PLANT A PALM TREE?

in my front yard, One on both sides of my front window. I live in a 1920 spanish style home (it’s small) I heard that palm trees are not good because they grow into the wall and break the stucco (wall of the house where the plant is being planted) People who have a palm, did you keep it in a pot when planting it in your planter? My front yard planter looks kinda like this pic below but bigger I really need help I hear mixed things (perhaps like a mini palm) I am going for a tropical theme Thanx
