i want to pay my parking ticket online but how come it always says invalid ticket...

...number? thanks? i had a parking ticket last Valentine's Day outside my daughter's preschool when i picked her up. when i got home, i tried to pay it online but it came back as an invalid ticket number. i thought maybe the parking enforcer guy haven't register it so i waited couple more days but it says the same thing. when he handed me the ticket, me & my daughter thanked him - how funny huh? lol anyway, is it possible that he canceled it? how would i know if he did? thanks
