I want to paint my bathroom?

my bathroom is small and when you walk in the tub is straight in front of the door i was thinking of putting up a curtain and seperating the tub from the rest of the bath kinda making it private, what do you think? Also do you think red would be a good color for a small room? not a bright red but like a burnt red please help i am going crazy looking at the flowered wallpaper in my bathroom
