the move & subject matter? Hello everyone. I am a third (and final) year University student studying for my degree in Communication Science.
I live in Witbank, Mpumalanga, and I am 21 years old this year.
I really want to move to Cape Town to pursue my career and start my life there. I am a person that can function pretty well on my own and the other good news is, is that my boyfriend lives not too far from Cape Town.
I have been looking for possible job opportunities or internships and have noticed that there are some, although the problem comes with the chances of a CT-based business accepting someone that lives so far away.
How do I go about moving to Cape Town but ensuring some kind of security (job) for myself there? Ideally I want to rent a small flat (since I will be living on my own) near central Cape Town and go from there. Has anyone else done this before? If so, what did you do?
I also want to find out how I can convince my dad to let me go. I mean, I want to move regardless of what he says, but I want to leave him with a peace of mind.
