3 years ago when I was a young niave teenager I dyed my naturally light brown hair black, but a few months later lightened it using something like Colour Oops. It went an auburn colour, later I cut my long hair to shoulder length and dyed it a bit darker .I then lightened it again to blonde and dyed over it and from then on I have had gingery auburn hair which I dye the regrowth every couple of months. I have also had it cut short and I have been growing it for a year (so I think all the hair that was once black then bleached is gone) 2 months ago I dyed it using a different brand (but same colour) and it went too dark so I mixed the lightener with shampoo and washed it (you only leave the mixture on for a couple of minutes so it does no damage and just removes colour) Now as its summer I want to lighten my hair a bit from my ginger colour to strawberry blonde, and especially be light on the ends. If I used the lightener I have used before but again mixed with shampoo as it isnt so harsh would it work to lighten previously lightened (but a very long time ago hair)? My hair is in very good condition and I dont care about ginger. Please I wont go to a salon. Just your personal experience using lightener on dyed hair! Thanks!
I will not go to a salon, but if you are a stylist on here you can reply please! and its not comlicated, I just gave you a history so everyone knows all the facts!
