My emergency brake was also on....
My car had been parked, engine off, with the emergency brake on for about 10 minutes. I was taking plants out of my car. After I got everything out, I remembered my keys were still in the ignition. As I was reaching to take them out the car started to roll backwards down my driveway. I tried to get in the car to stop it but it was rolling too fast and the door was pushing against me. Then I tried to get out of the way and couldn't. Just as I started to get a little ahead of the door pushing down the driveway the rear tire ran over my foot. I finally fell forward....the door hit the back of my head and the pavement got me on the side of the head. After that both my car and I continued to roll down the hill into the street. The car rolled past me and striaght toward the house accross the street, went over the curb. Then the car stopped a second and started to roll forward down the street (also a steep hill). Then the car veared to the right just missing me, into the neighbors yard...
The police and ambulance came. The police told me when they checked my car it was still in park W/ the emergency brake on. They also tried driving the car and the emergency wasn't working but it was still in park...
