I am a sophomore in high school and I want to join the army and become a combat engineer and also apply for warrant officer flight training.
What i want to do is take a few extra classes and graduate my junior year and ship out to basic the summer after my junior year.
I have a strong feeling that i need to serve for my country. I feel like I don't have much of a purpose in life and i know that I am going to die sometime so why not die for my country.
the problem is I have to convince my parents and the school board to let me do this. Everyone in my family is telling me not to join the army and that i should go to college because i have a 4.0 GPA.
What are some things I could tell my parent and or the school board to get them to let me do this.
