i want to increase the performance of my 87 toyota supra?

i bought a 87 supra with 124 k miles on the original engine. it gets 16-17 miles in the city and 22 on the highway.

can i change this?

what mods can i do to increase my mpg on this car [ even if its not that much it would make a difference]

and also

what mods can i do to make it more powerful like increasing horsepower?
 
a new high performance intake, a k&n air filter, denso spark plugs, a highperformance exhaust and computer tuning will give you both economy and more power.

but for just power a turbo is the way to go if you want serious horsepower.
