Hello everyone I graduate next month and my big thing I want to do hike the Appalachian trail and I was wondering what are some good tips for hiking it? I hiked 50ish miles of it last summer and even though I felt like hell seeing that the top of the approach trail made me feel all manly lol. That approach trail was literally hell on earth.(Made me see why so many people quit)
So pretty much if any of you are hikers and what not what are some costs of hiking/tips for doing it? Would 5,000 dollars be enough to supply me for the trip(Also I've heard that it takes around 4 months for a average hiker to complete it is that reasonable?)
