I graduated high school in 1999. I started college but due to financial situations I had to put that on hold and get work. Since 2002 I worked in a dr's office in billing.
I saved money over the years. I want to become a medical dr. Yet now that I can finally afford school, I feel like no one will think I can make it. My friends say things to me like "wouldn't you rather try for nursing?" No I would not. I was no dummy in school. My GPA was over 3.8.
Is this such a ridiculous thing at my age to go to medical school after so long of being out of school? I know it will take time. But this is my dream.
