I want to give my daughter my last name is there anything wrong with that?

My boyfriend and I are still together. We've been together since we were teenagers off and on. He's a good boyfriend and all but he has his moments. I think seeing our little girl will change him, he's got a really a good heart but I don't think our relationship is going to last from the way things are looking. I love him and I know he loves me but our future is kind of up in the air. Is it the right thing to do? I'm due in a month. Of course my daughters going to know her father but still...its just a last name
