I want to get Koodo Mobile but I don't want the tab!?

I am 12 years old and I am sick of the prepaid phones where you have to buy the cards and refill it! My friend just got the koodo blackberry I would like to get that but to my point I don't think I want the Tab I would rather pay the 300$ but is it possible how does it work without the tab? Thanks!!!
