i want to get into photography! waht would be the best camera to start off

with, something not to pricey?
i would like no not spend more then $300, but im not sure how realistic that is.
 
Do NOT get a Kodak Easyshare. I saved and saved and bought a Kodak Easyshare and it was the biggest mistake of my life, wouldn't take clear pictures, you could forget about taking pictures in the daylight, terrible quality.

I would get a Canon Powershot, I have the SD 1100 and it's amazing! Definitely a great camera for someone wanting to take legit pictures and is very user friendly. I bought it for $200.
