I want to get a mac for editing for a professional video editing and photography, what

kind of requirements? If I buy it from the mac store what should I look for? If you edit let me know what you use.

All you will have to do is tell them what you are going to use the Mac for and they will hook you up.

However ... there are specially customized Mac's that are called "turn-key" video workstations which have EXACTLY what you need to do production video editing ... all you will have to do with them is add the photoshop CS3 Extended program and you will be set.

You will want two calibrated monitors for video production as well as an NTSC monitor.
