I Want to buy a ipod touch but i don't if i'm gonna wait for the 4G?

i really want to buy a ipod otuch, but i just don't know if it is worth to wait until the new 4g comes out... DOES ANYONE know when it will be released?? please help me before i buy the 3g. (sorry for my bad english)
and NOT the iphone but the IPOD TOUCH!
