i want to block a number on my sprint blackberry curve?

is there anyway that i can block my ex boyfriends number so he cant get ahold of me, im not to worried about if he is able to call i just dont want to get the text messages so is there anyway i could do that on the phone, iv been looking and people are saying that it is possible but it seems like when i read other pages on how to do it i dont have some of the options i would need in my phone to do it, is it possible? if so can i please have a link of some sort or some type of directions on how to do it.
 
You can try calling the phone company but usually they won't block numbers they'll just ask you to get a new number which is a total pain in the ass.
