I want to become a Test Pilot but Not Sure If I can be Or not ?? HELP me to decide..?

I am currently doing BS in Aeronautical Science and have Instrument Ratings...by end of the Jan 2010 , I will get my commercial too. I wanna make my career in Airlines but my dream is to become a TEST PILOT. I am confused that Is that possible that a regular CPL holder can be a Test Pilot or Is that only for Aeronautical Engineers?? and If I can be a test pilot , what kind of jobs I can get ??
