anyone have any advice for me? im a 15 yr old girl and when i leave school (in 2 years, coz im yr 10) i want to become a light vehicle motor mechanic. i wanted to be a vet, but i dont think my math levels are quite high enough. i enjoy welding and fixing stuff etc. but i don't know if i need any extra qualifications to become a mechanic. My friend is taking an apprenticeship in becoming a mechanic but he's leaving school to do that.
do i have to leave school and take an apprenticeship to become a mechanic, or can i do it another way?
