Can I take French education as a minor if I only had a half of year in French 1?I understand the basics and I can figure it out due to Spanish help, and I know how to pronounce it, but I am a determined person.so can I do it, or will I be super behind?

You might as well just make French a major. With all of the language teaching classes you will have to take, it will help you to be an educator of both. Why not be a double threat?I teach Spanish, and I passed up a lot of jobs because I couldn't teach more than one language.

Oh yeah learn french because a lot french people sneak into the country every year....dumb a**

I've seen you write things in french on Y!A before, and your french was REALLY good for someone who only took half a year of French 1. I think you should go for it.

You will be behind, but you are a determined person, so you can do it. You will be required to take more courses, but maybe you can fit them in during summer breaks. You don't mention how far along you are in your degree program, but if you are just starting, start with French 101. Spanish and French are a great combination, and you will get to read some great literature.
