I'm going to major in Psychobiology and minor in Comparative Literature, which will give me my pre-reqs for medical school, but I know that some classes may entail harmful testing of animals, which isn't something that I believe in. I know that people say in order to make medical advances, animal testing is necessary, however, I believe that this way of testing is not only ineffective, it's also inhumane, due to the amount of substitutes available for testing. So, my question is...can a course deny me credit if I refuse to test on animals? It's part of my belief system, so isn't that unethical?
